If you are exploring without a car, the passenger water taxi is located about 1.5 miles away and accessible via a free shuttle (stop located within walking distance on Alki Ave). The water taxi will deliver you to downtown Seattle close to the stadiums, historic Pioneer Square, the waterfront shops/restaurant/aquarium, and Pike Place Market. Shuttles run about every half hour. From there you can enjoy Seattle's public transportation. Seatac Airport is about 25 minutes away by car or accessible by lightrail from the SODO stop (~6 mi via Uber to the lightrail stop in the SODO district).
